My name is Dave Malick, and I’m a follower of Jesus Christ. I grew up in Akron, Ohio where I earned a AB in Music at Kent State University. I earned a ThM at Dallas Theological Seminary, and went on to do doctoral studies there. I earned a JD from Capital University Law School, and now live, with my wife Lynn Gannett-Malick, in Birmingham, Alabama.

What Do I Do?
I work as an attorney at RichardsonClement PC, focusing on Intellectual property law (see http://www.davemalick.com). By God’s grace I also serve Him at church and through writing. I have had the privilege of teaching at Dallas Theological Seminary, at Southeastern Bible College, and in numerous churches in Ohio, Texas, Alabama, and through Campus Crusade for Christ in Barcelona, Spain and in Cyprus. I also was part of a group of Christ-followers who planted the Chapel in North Canton (Ohio).
What Do I Do?
As a young lad and man, I was a drummer in Akron, Ohio. I played in several local bands (including Witch Hazel and Pokerface), played in the Kent State University Lab Band, was a studio drummer in Cleveland, Ohio, and had the privilege of playing for many entertainers who came to the Cleveland area including Perry Como, Bob Hope, Steve Allen, Bill Cosby, Dizzy Gillespie, Danny Thomas, Freda Pain, Mitzi Gainer, Shields and Yarnel, et cetera.
What Do I do?
I enjoy running (although I’m slow nowadays). I average around 30 miles a week. Some of my best and long-lasting friendships have developed over the miles. Along that line, I have run 24 marathons, including Boston. I also cycle and swim, and have participated in a few triathlons.
What Do I do?
I am the husband of Mary Lynn Gannett-Malick. Mary Lynn has been the best part of my life. I have a daughter, Hana, and a golden-doodle puppy named Teddy. I am grateful to have a few close friends, even if some of them (Nate and Cheryl Ross) live far away serving Christ in Ethiopia. My pastor, Bart Brookins, is one of my closest friends, and I am regularly grateful for his life, his gifts, and his partnership on the way.
